#frogchat: New year, new technology – success or failure?

Not all technology lives up to expectation. Sometimes we want to run before we can walk and accidentally miss the basics. Despite all the planning we put in place, if the right people don’t take ownership then new technology can crash and burn even before it gets off the ground.

The new school year means you’re all probably wrestling with different pieces of technology. To see how your getting on and give you loads of ideas if you’re hitting a brick wall, we’re hosting another #frogchat on Thursday 18 October between 15:30 and 16:15 BST.

Whichever way things are going we’d love to hear from you. Maybe you’ve added some new technology in your school that’s already transforming teaching and learning. How much of that hard work you did over summer is already paying dividends?

With the ongoing debate over bring-your-own-device in schools have any of you trialled it this year, if so, how are things shaping up?

Maybe you’ve introduced tablet devices into your classroom this year – what impact have they had so far? Are you facing any difficulties in how to get the most out of them?

Have any of you added some exciting new features to your learning platform that you now couldn’t live without? If you’re struggling to get your new learning platform off the ground you can not only join us for #frogchat you can also check out the back-to-basics information on our website.

With 4G coming very soon, and 5G already being developed by one university in this country, the use of technology in and out of classrooms is going to play a bigger role every year, #frogchat is your chance to find out what’s hot and what’s not so far this year.

We look forward to chatting with you on Thursday 18 October at 15:30 BST.
